PHENOMENON TRIGGER #1: Audacity
Achieve more success in 12 months than in 12 years? That's silly.
Get more done in 1 month than most people do in 1 Year? Arrogant.
Earn 100K in one month? Outrageous.
Earn 100K in one day? Delusional.
Earn seven figures in one week? Psychotic.
In order to create a Phenomenon Experience in your business and life, First, you have to throw out all of the "rules", all of the things you "know". It was once said that it's not what a man doesn't know that hurts him; it's what he "knows" that isn't true.
Phenomenon practitioners redefine "norms" and the length of time it takes to do things. "How long things should take", "How much people make in this industry" are rules that govern the sheep, not the lion.
You have to accept that "industry" or "social" norms are there to be transcended. Yearly salaries become monthly salaries and monthly salaries can become daily paydays....if you don't constrain yourself by chaining yourself down with your own (or your industry's or society's) limiting beliefs. Remember the story of Roger Bannister breaking the 4 Minute mile, the supposedly physical barrier that would kill a human who tried to surpass it. And then there was Roger. Then a trickle, stream, flood of others and now high school students routinely eclipse that "barrier". Not because of physicaly prowess, but because the "limiting belief" was shattered.
What beliefs are holding down your Breakthrough Experience? Where could you ignite your Phenomenon by injecting some "audacity"?
"Oh, every one charges 6% commission."
"Oh, I can only take this number of clients."
"Oh, you can't sell a ____ in ___ days. There's a process."
"Oh, You have to do things in this order."
"This is the way it's done."
To create Extraordinary Results, you must transcend the ordinary and start thinking in terms of Vision and Audacity as opposed to Conformity and "Reality".
I am working with two clients right now to create seven figure businesses in the next 90 days. The biggest breakthrough is to "THINK BIG" and "ACT BIG".
When I started consulting, I asked a neighbor of mine who does IT consulting about how he decides what to charge. He, like a grizzled old veteran indoctrinating a young pup, explained that you take the industry norm for hourly rate and multiply it by the hours it will take and blah blah blah.
I "foolishly" rejected his advice and chose a number that would make me ecstatic to get, (regardless of how much "time" it would take) and positioned myself, both in terms of value provided and hordes of clients clamoring for me, so that people fell over themselves to write me checks.
My first consulting gig paid me more for 1 month than I made in a year as an employee. Because I created my own rules.
On Wednesday, we're going to identify and blow apart some of your industry norms. We're going to create a vision for your Breakthrough Business and begin implementing some of the other Phenomenon triggers to accelerate your arrival.
