Rumor has it that we can all live lives of ease in which we attract our hearts’ desires, stumble upon perfect opportunities and express ourselves creatively to the fulfillment of ourselves and others.

Today, I personally, am taking a closer look at this life of EASE. This phrase conjures up images of being in complete flow, playing with my kids, sitting quietly in nature and being with people who lift and support me. What I know is that there are a lot of moments in between those delights and they too, are opportunities for ease, though perhaps of a different kind.

When it comes to our day to day decisions, challenges and responsibilities, we do get to choose how we show up and ultimately how we feel. So you might say that ease it always available to us. But it sure seems sometimes like it is on the other side of a mountain called ‘Why can’t I get a representative on the phone!’ or ‘When will my business finally take off?’ So does that mean that while we can eventually evolve enough to experience a continual life of ease, we will have to manage the hiccups and struggles along the way?

Perhaps not.

Perhaps the unifying thread that allows ease to ALWAYS be our experience is not about what is on the other side of our choice but the choice itself.

Isn’t it true that stretching to respond in a new way to a difficult circumstance is in fact a place of ease?

It is natural, authentic, expansive and creative. As opposed to our choice to fight against, and hold tightly to our patterns of behavior no matter how many times they have not worked for us.

When growing a business, we are drawn to nurture relationships, fan the flames of our success, express ourselves freely and serve the world, but often we are face to face with would-be stumbling blocks such as a disappointment around a lost client, confusion about how to present ourselves authentically and effectively, or overwhelm with all of the hats we are meant to wear each and every day.

We cannot avoid these circumstances nor do we want to. They are the opportunities that call us to be bigger and better. But not only that, they are the moments when we can choose ease. The ease of expansion, of alignment with our true nature and of following the call to greater possibilities.

I made a list of some ways that I could begin to stretch and maintain my life of ease starting NOW:

·         Letting go of priorities that are causing only stress and conflict

·         Forgiving myself and others quickly

·         Walking away from a project to gain perspective

·         Taking on less and doing it with more heart and generosity

·         Making the phone call before I have figured out how the conversation should go

·         Accepting the consequences of my actions quickly and moving on

(Surrender, Acceptance, Faith, Forgiveness...)

If I began to live with a commitment to stretch rather than struggle, I can see that I would not only get stronger (eventually) and not only attract more positive exchanges into my life, but could immediately access the much coveted experience of flow. I would be like the palm tree that bends with the wind even during torrential rains, not snappiing or breaking but springing back once the calm returns.

I invite you to ask yourself how you could stretch and maintain your life of ease? What struggles would be replaced? How might these changes affect each area of your life including your business?

As always, if you are ready to determine exactly who YOU are in the marketplace and communicate it effectively, please contact me and we will set up your complimentary 30 minute phone consultation.

Happy Marketing!
